Sanitarians Short Course Scheduled For May 16-17

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 67th Annual Pennsylvania Association of Milk, Food and Environmental Sanitarians Conference will offered by Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences, May 16-17 at The Nittany Lion Inn in State College. The conference theme is "Ensuring the Quality of Milk Products from Production to Consumption."

Designed for sanitarians, milk haulers, laboratory managers, plant managers and supervisors, the conference will feature presentations by industry and academic experts on topics such as consumer trends in agriculture, increasing fluid milk sales, raw milk consumption, new advancements in mastitis control, new lab technologies, and production plant and food security.

In addition to general sessions, concurrent field, lab and plant sessions will be offered. The conference has been designated an Approved Inspector Training.

Registration will be accepted through May 2 at $135 per person and after May 2 at $155. The registration fee includes instruction, instructional materials, beverage breaks, and one luncheon ticket.
