Making the Most of a Powerful Nuisance

Even as we enjoy the fruits of american agriculture, in the form of high standards of safety, quality, and affordability, farmers are wrestling with a problem that is both the reason for, and the result of, their success: agricultural plastics.

From the small family farm to the massive vegetable and crop operation, most ag producers keep this problem hidden away, literally, in the back forty—in the lowland areas and ravines where it can be buried and ignored for generations.
