Long before most students peek out from under their covers, well ahead of the arrival of most of the University’s staff and faculty, there are cows to be milked, cattle to be fed, and pigs, poultry, and sheep to be cared for at a group of research buildings on the northeastern outskirts of the University Park campus. These buildings are known collectively as Animal Operations.
