Penn State Offers Milk Pasteurization Workshop
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Department of Food Sciences in Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences will offer its 15th annual Pasteurizer Operators Workshop, Nov. 7-8 at Atherton Hotel in downtown State College and in the Food Science Building on the University Park campus.
Designed for those interested in milk pasteurization and regulation, the workshop will include hands-on activities, discussions and lectures covering regulations, sanitation, pasteurization, milk flavor and other operational procedures in milk plants. In addition, attendees will participate in laboratory activities in the new Food Science Building for part of the first day.
Registration will be accepted until Nov. 7 as space allows. The registration fee of $510 ($535 if paid after Oct. 23) covers tuition, manual, breaks and lunches.
