Requirements
for Free Public Use...
The name "Penn State Pointers" and
all "Penn State Pointers" graphics (or illustrations) are
copyrighted by Penn State. All rights are reserved.
These Penn State Pointers are being made available
as public education resources for publications, classrooms, and presentations
when printed unedited and/or with all credits to Penn State College
of Agricultural Sciences and Agricultural Information Services in place.
The artwork cannot be resold or repackaged, in whole or in part, as
commercial clip art or images without expressed written permission from
Penn State.
These illustrations may be used in both traditional
print and electronic publications and presentations as long as they
are printed with all elements intact, and with either the title/credits
"as-is" or with a title/credits sidebar.

The
Graphic File Low-Down...
These Penn State Pointers were created in Adobe
Illustrator and saved out as Illustrator .PDF or .EPS files. They should
be able to be readily imported and/or placed in a number of applications
such as PhotoShop, PageMaker, Persuasion, and others...
The PSP panels were sized specifically for print
and newspapers. Horizontal graphics are 38 picas X 27 picas, vertical
graphics are 24 picas X 36 picas. Both formats can be enlarged or reduced
proportionately. A number of the PSP files have a suggested planning/publishing
timeframe which may be cropped off or deleted. The sizes above include
the actual graphic with its border only; they do NOT include the area
with the date.
The only fonts used were the nearly standard
Adobe Postscript Helvetica (Regular, Italic, and Bold) and Times (Regular,
Italic, and Bold). They were NOT converted to outlines.
To download a complete InfoGraphic
Archive, select that archive's graphics List. To download an individual
InfoGraphic, you must go to that InfoGraphic's page to download.
The downloaded graphic file should appear as
an ".EPS" file (for example: 01145c_b.EPS). The first two digits (01)
represent the list number, while the remaining three digits (145) represent
the press release number. If the letter a, b, or c follows the digits,
it indicates that the graphic is one of several (up to three) related
to the same press release. A _g suffix indicates a grayscale file, _b
indicates black & white (or outline), and _c represents a color
version. Our example (01145c_b.EPS) is from list #1, is press release
number 145, is the third of three graphics related to the same press
release, and is in black & white (or outline) format.
It
All Depends On The Response...
